As of 1 February 2017, the educational channel English Club TV is available on the network of Turkcell, one of the leading providers of telecommunication services in Turkey.
According to the research conducted by The British Council, the knowledge of English is required for more than 30% of the highest-paid jobs in Turkey. Based on the English Proficiency Index (EPI) developed by English First, in 2016 Turkey took 51st place among 72 countries. 24% of primary school students and 37% of general high school students believe they have a beginner or lower level of English. 10% of 18 primary school students and 6% of high school students think that their level of English is advanced.
