¡Hola Madrid OR The First Steps of English Club TV in Spain!

Wednesday, 15 November 2017

This year, educational channel English Club TV is participating in the annual BITAM Show.

Only about 22% of the Spanish population can speak English fluently. According to the well-known EF proficiency index, Spain ranks 28th out of 80 countries in 2017 in terms of English skills. 76% of people in Spain think that English skills are the most useful for their personal development and career. 86% think that children should learn English, as it might be important for their future career.

To encourage people to learn English, the Ministry of Education launched the Bilingual Education Project, which started 20 years ago. It aims to promote bilingualism by starting English classes from a young age. More than 350 public primary schools and 180 private primary schools in Madrid have already taken part in the project.

This is the first fair that English Club TV has visited in Spain. In 2017, the English Club TV team will present its best educational shows (City Grammar, Perfect English, Basic Lexis, Figures of Speech, Rhyme Time, 3WAYS2, Keep Fit, The Language of Business) that help viewers improve their grammar and pronunciation, enrich their vocabulary with new useful words and idioms, learn how to express their thoughts in three different ways, stay healthy with morning exercise and boost their business English for international communication.

The team of experienced educators and preschool teachers has developed a special kids slot for the youngest viewers who are just taking their first steps in learning English. Among the most popular shows are Yummy for Mummy, Crafty Hands, A School Day in The UK, Kids in Action, Words to Grow and Word Party. Each program helps to develop creativity and learn up to 100 new words.

Every day the world’s best movies and cartoons with subtitles and a pre-teaching section are broadcast to immerse viewers in the English language, help them improve their listening and reading skills as well as learn new words.

By watching English Club TV 15 minutes a day for one year, viewers will improve their listening and reading skills and enrich their vocabulary with more than 2000+ new words, idioms and useful expressions.

Every day more than 30 000 000 subscribers of more than 400 operators watch English Club TV in 99+ countries around the world.
