Topic. Watch on English Club TV the documentary “HOME” from Luc Besson and Yann Arthus-Bertrand, which changed the consciousness of millions of people

This Planet is our common home. According to statistics, throughout the whole world, 12 times as much money is spent on arms than on helping underdeveloped countries. Every day 5,000 people die because of contaminated drinking water, and 1 billion people in the world are starving. Annually, 13 million hectare of forest disappears from the face of the earth.

“HOME” is the co-creation of world-renowned wildlife photographer Yann Arthus-Bertrand and the famous director Luc Besson.

The film “HOME” shows us the beauty of our planet and the consequences of devastation caused by human activity. The film is intended to form a new perception that everything in this world is interconnected, and the task of each of us is to save nature and preserve life on our planet.

The film was shot from a helicopter. For 18 months, the film crew visited 53 countries to capture the most beautiful corners of the planet, which face annihilation. Moreover, in some countries, such as China and Saudi Arabia, the director was refused permission to conduct aerial photography. In India, a major part of the photos were confiscated. In Argentina, Yann Arthus-Bertrand and his assistants had to spend a week in prison.

According to scientists' forecasts, we've got only 10 years to save the future and prevent an ecological catastrophe. That's enough time for us to unite and save our planet, isn’t it? Let's help the Earth together! Our planet needs us!

Watch the documentary “HOME” on Sunday, January 8th, at 19:25 CET.
