English Club TV helps students in Benin to improve their English

Friday, 05 February 2016

English Club TV Channel joined the initiative of the Language Improvement Corner to advance the English language proficiency of Benin students. During the Benin National Spelling Bee 2016 the English Club TV programmes were being shown to the participants in order to inspire them while studying English. Valentin Zanmenou, coordinator of the Language Improvement Corner and organizer of the Benin National Spelling Bee 2016, says: “I am a big fan of your channel. First time I watched English Club TV on the Canal+ Overseas network, and I thought that it would be great to use its content while teaching English. Recently I have got an opportunity to show English Club TV programmes to students from secondary schools during the Benin National Spelling Bee 2016. We have already had 2 sessions and presented the highly-rated programmes of English Club TV “Basic Lexis” and “English UP”. Students really liked them, it was just fantastic! I am thankful to the English Club TV Team and think that our partnership would boost the level of English in my country”. Talking about the initiative, Andrew Semchenko, CEO of the English Club TV Group, announced: “I think it is a great idea to support such projects since our company mission is to help people all over the world while studying English. We believe that watching the English Club TV programmes would not only improve the English Language Proficiency of students in Benin, but also encourage them to perfect themselves at every turn”.
