Great news for English Club TV fans from Greece! As of 1st September 2016, the educational channel English Club TV is available in the basic package on the network of one of the biggest providers in Greece, Vodafone. Vodafone has become the first provider that broadcasts English Club TV in this country. The launch of the channel coincided with the start of the new school year.
Andrew Semchenko, the CEO of English Club TV Group, says: “First of all, we are very happy that English Club TV has appeared in Greece. And, secondly, we are very proud to cooperate with such a reputable partner as Vodafone. Greece is one of the TOP-5 most favourite summer destinations for millions of people from all over the world. According to statistics that was published on the occasion of The European Day of Languages in 2015, only 38% of the Greeks aged 25-64 speak English well enough to hold a conversation at an intermediate level. I believe that English Club TV and its educational programmes will help viewers in Greece improve their English to tell more and more tourists about this beautiful country famous for its ancient heroes, philosophers, and pristine nature.”
